30 Day Challenge Days 11-13

Day 11: Put your ipod on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs. Well my ipod is completely dead so Ill be hitting shuffle on my itunes library.

1. Remix- New Kids on the Block.  I saw them in concert and while I was not a fan of theirs when I was younger, believe it or not they were kinda before my time, I really enjoyed their concert!

2. Whatta Man- Salt-n-Pepa.  This song brings me back to the old days!

3. London Bridge- Fergie.  I love this album.

4. A Thousand Years, pt. 2.- Christina Perry.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song!  Thought it was perfect for Twilight!

5. Pardon Me- Incubus.  Make yourself album.  Best one ever!  I remember going to another high schools talent show because my friends were into this band and they sang this song for their talent.  Love it.

6. The Forgotten- Green day.  This is from the twilight sage breaking dawn soundtrack.  Eh, not one of my faves from them.

7. Sweet Nothing- Calvin Harris feat. Florence Welch. I'm not big into techno.  But I love two Calvin Harris songs!  Sweet nothing because it has my girl Florence in it!

8. From Finner- Of Monsters and Men.  I love this group.

9. Blown Away- Carrie Underwood.  I love the lyrics in this song.  Very poignant.

10. Boyfriend- Justin Bieber.  Yes I have Bieber on my ipod.  I will now hide in shame.....

Day 12: Bullet your entire day.  This is gonna be boring.

  • 7:46 am-wake up and let hubbie in the house.

Day 13: Somewhere you would like to move or visit.

Well we would love to move back to Washington sate.  I dont see that happening.  Its too expensive there.  Maybe another state tho.

There are a ton of places I want to visit tho, like Sun Valley, Idaho (hubbie grew up there), Oregon Coast, Colorado, Cali, too many places across the ocean I want to visit.  I want to go all through Europe one day!

What about you all? Where do you wan to visit??

Until next time!

30 Day Challenge 8-10

Lets get right into it, shall we?

Day 8: Describe the moment in life where you were most satisfied.  Nothing is coming to mind.  To be honest.  I am very critical of myself, my life and the things around me.  It's something I am working on.  I could be totally happy about just about everything but then there will be that one thing I hate. Now, if I could find a way to make money and be happy while doing it, have ample time with my family and be debt free with a clean home.  Maybe then I'll be completely satisfied. Until then I'll always have a constant worry about something.

Day 9: How do you hope your future will be like.  Doesn't this fall along the lines of where do you see yourself in ten years? Well, I hope in my future I am on my way to being debt free, more kids, married and own a house and a business.  That would be a nice future.

Day 10: Describe your first love and your first kiss.  Well my first kiss was most definitely NOT my first love. Thank goodness for that.  The kiss was all teeth and he was drunk.  Just happy to get it over with.  Now my first love was my hubbie.  My one and only.  I'm okay with that.  I'm not his first love, but I am his last.

That's all folks, feel free to comment and add your moments :)

21. Are these really facts or just wishes??
22. I give up.  I'm pretty boring.

Day 7: My zodiac sign.  I am a virgo and boy do I share a lot of traits with the virgo!  I am actually August 24th which is somewhat depending on what zodiac you go by, I am on the cusp.  So I share some traits with Leo as well.

Lets see what are some of the traits I share........
Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac, to be exact, and that's the way Virgos like it: exacting. Those born under this sign are forever the butt of jokes for being so picky and critical (and they can be), but their 'attention to detail' is for a reason: to help others. Virgos, more than any other sign, were born to serve, and it gives them great joy. They are also tailor-made for the job, since they are industrious, methodical and efficient. The sense of duty borne by these folks is considerable, and it ensures that they will always work for the greater good. yep, thats me very critical!

Virgos tend to take on some of the qualities of a Virgin, things like modesty and humanity.  Thats me!

Virgos are also neat and clean save for the occasional sloppy Virgin (they do exist). Virgins are also reliable and practical and oh-so-useful to have around. Yeah that clean trait must have skipped me, unless I am at work.

The great strength of the Virgo-born is in their practicality, sharp mind and attention to detail. When merged with their willingness to serve, Virgos become essential helpmates. They can be picky -- so what?  I agree!

Now traits with Leo:
The great strengths of the Leo-born are their creativity, idealism and leadership.  I like to think I am more creative then others in my fam, and I def like to be the leader!

All my facts I got from astrology.com

Until next time!

30 day Challenge

I am partaking in a 30 day challenge and no it has nothing to do with pictures!  I fail at that every damn time.  So, hopefully I can keep up with this.  Cept, now I have to do 4 days in one........

My friend Megan (check her blog out, I found her to be a hoot!) over at the chronicles ofa tea drinker invited me, along with our other twilight mom friends to participate.  Its something different, so why not.

Day 1: What is my current relationship status?  Married/engaged, but on government documents I am single....does that make sense.  No, I am not legally married, yes, we have been engaged since November 2007, no I have no plans on getting married anytime soon.  Why?  Because, we already have the marriage.  We already vowed that we want to be with each other till the end of our days, we want to build a life together and have more kiddos.  I am waiting because I want a wedding, a big ol' party.  I want a day where it is all about me and my hubbie.  I constantly make days special for other people, and am never in the limelight and that's ok, I don't prefer to be.  But, I want my wedding day to be focused on us.  Oh yeah, it would be nice if I were skinnier in my "off" white wedding dress. That would be a plus too!

Day2: Where would I like to be in 10 years.  O-M-G, lets not discuss my age.  But for damn sure, I better be owning my own house, owning my own business and skinnier with two more kids.  That's that!

Day3: My views on drugs and Alcohol.  Just say NO! ?  Well, I did partake in the drinking aspect, but that was before I hit 21.  I made stupid decisions, I partied from 18-20 and then stopped.  It was out of my system.  All though my 21st birthday now that was an experience. Lets just say my sisters bar took care of me and really got me wasted and universal city walk security had to wheel chair me to the car, that's how bad I was.  I don't think I have been that bad since and I am now 29.  I have smoked cigarettes and cigars, but only while I was drunk and I can count on my hand how many times that was.  I have never partaken in illegal drugs and I am really, really ok with that.  I see no need for those things, if my life was that bad I would find other ways to improve it and not take a downer or upper to make things disappear for a bit.  When I want to escape my stressful reality, I read.  That would be my drug of choice.  I wont look down on you if you do, do drugs and experiment, I don't have people close to me that do that kind of things  I will say tho, if you are stupid enough to get into the car while drunk or high for that matter and kill someone else that you deserve every punishment the law throws at you and then some.  Those are my thoughts, if you don't agree that is fine.  I will never get into the car even if I have had one drink.  My hubbie and I always switch off.  I have someone very precious at home that needs her mama.

Day4: My views on religion.  I think its nice to believe in something of a higher power.  I do believe in god, I have never read the bible, and I do not attend church at all.  I do live my life with morals and think other people should as well, I don't think I need a bible to tell me how to do that.  I do plan on reading the bible one day, why?  Because its one of the best stories ever written.  I have not baptized my daughter, why?  Because, when she gets older I want her to pick what she wants to believe in or not believe in.  I don't want to tell her what to believe in.  You do that and then they will grow up to despise it (again my opinion).  With that said, I find all religions fascinating.  I would like to learn others belief systems and continue to keep my mind open to other beliefs.

Feel free to comment on anything!

2014

I'm not one for making resolutions, but for this new year I am.  I used to make them when I was younger, but I would never go through with them.  Well, 2014 in August is the start of my 30's!  I want my 30's to be different from my 20's.  20's were fat and in debt.  30's I want to be skinny-ish and semi debt free.  Or at least to the road of debt free (those damn student loans, I'll be paying off forever!)  I figured if I come on here and list my "resolutions" for the new year, then I will surely keep up with them.

Ok, here we go......

  1. Save all coins until the end of the year and use that for a vacation for 2015 or pay off a bill. (my mom saved almost $300 in two and half months in coins.  I think it will be fun to see what I can save in a year, I work in the service industry, so I always come home with coins.)
  2. Save my tip money for Christmas 2014.  One year I saved tips from Jan-June and I had a good amount to take on our vacation.  Like $1600 of spending money. Imagine what it would be for 11 months.   (I work hourly with tips, so my tips aren't as much as a server would be)
  3. Lose weight.....and keep it off.  I can lose weight if I put my mind to it.  So let me amend that.  Go to the gym (that I am paying for and not going) three days a week, cut out all soda and artificial sweeteners.
  4. Start putting money away to pay off school loans.  yuck.
  5. Cook at least one new recipe a week!  (on the healthy side)
  6. Make my front and back yard look pretty.  We let it get out of control this year!
  7. Start my veggie and fruit garden.
  8. Work on a fairy garden
  9. Do more crafts for myself and with the kid.
  10. Now to round it all out.........ORGANIZE MY LIFE!

So, overall I don't think the list is too daunting. Everything is doable.  I know I probably wont make it to the gym every week next year. What am I going to do during the summer months when my kid is at home???  I'll have to work something out.  I probably wont be able to save every coin and every tip I make.  Sometimes I need to use my tips for food money or to supplement my crappy pay checks.  But overall, I should be able to save a good bulk.

Wish me luck!  I really hope 2014 is a year of change!

What do you have on your list?

Greek Pasta and tater tot casserole

I have been trying out some new recipes, I haven't changed them up one bit, so I am just going to put my pic of what I cooked and the link to where I found it.  These blogers deserve the credit.

I have been craving this pasta ever since I made it.  It was yummy, if you like greek salads  you need to make this pasta.  Not only is it simple and simple can be, but its so yummy too!

I cant take credit for it.  I got it from chef-in-training.  She has got some yummy, simple recipes.  Go check her out!

You toss it with italian dressing, I know italian on a greek?  But, trust me its delish!  I added some grilled chicken to mine.  Its good cold and warm.  Definitely think I am making this again this weekend!

I made this tater tot casserole the other night, I never had it as a kid, but my hubbie has, he said his was different tho.  He liked my version, so its a keeper!

Super simple, simply delicious!

Original  recipe can be found here at alisharenee.  She has a ton of other yummy looking casseroles as well.  I'm going to make a few in the next few weeks.  Only thing different I did was top some cheese on the meat mixture and drizzled oil over the potatoes and then after I baked it, I stuck it under the broiler for a bit.  So it got nice and crunchy.

Anyone try anything new lately?

~Allie

My baby isnt a baby anymore!

On October 22nd, my little baby Zoe turned the BIG 5!  No more baby for mommy.  Well, she will always be my baby, but you moms know how it is.  Shes a big girl now.  Independence is in full force, she has best friends in school now, she gets embarrassed by me sometimes.  Its happening all too fast.  She even has a boyfriend!

Sure, she still cuddles with me.  Which I am thankful, but I have a feeling that wont last forever.  Insert sad face.  Shes learning all these new things and really becoming a great little lady.

She requested a train theme birthday party.  Train theme is what she got.  It was our first party where we had kids come, not just family members.  The kids had fun, which is all that matters.  My little house was full to the max with people, but the food was good, the cake delicious and really no tantrums!

Of course I consulted Pinterest for all my train theme needs.  I made a train out of shoe boxes that held food, made railroad signs from poster board, turned the bounce house into a waiting station, put their goodies backs in a suitcase which was their baggage claim.  They played musical train cars, and pin the smoke stack on Thomas.  Overall, it was a great day, but I needed a few days to recoup, so did Zoe!

I didn't get too many pictures, because of course I was doing ten million things at once.  My sister has some photos on her camera but I haven't gotten them off yet.  I am still a bit disorganized in my life.

Ill link up my pinterest board where I got all the ideas from.  I cant say they are my own, because they are not.  But I sure did have fun coping them!

Who hasn't made these out of tissue paper before??

Baggage claim pre decoration and sign.  Told ya I wasn't on the picture detail. I did go out and purchase these awesome popcorn machine (which I didn't have time to use during the party!) I figure we will use this at parties, sleepovers, movie nights and holidays! ( I even bought popcorn boxes!)

Train cars all done!  Log car held pretzel rods, produce car held carrots, celery and veggie dip, 2nd produce car held fruit kabobs and the animal car held animal crackers!

The completed train!  I loved it.  I also bought conductor hats and bandanna for the kids, but living in Florida it was too hot to wear!  Then I forgot to tell them to take it home with them, so now I have two dozen conductor hats and bandannas just chillin in my home.

I found a template online for the head of the train and had Zoe color it, then cut it out and glued to a shoe box top. She felt included in the prep of the party and it came out cute!

Finished dining room.  I covered my book cases with streamers, so I didn't have little hands touching my stuff.  It was pretty cool looking.

My signs are a little small, but the white one says waiting station.  This was the hit of the party.  I think Ill get it every birthday!

My big girl!

Now, its time to prep for the holidays!
